STEVE MURRAY Inducted 2002One of the most fiercely-competitive players to ever play the game, Steve Murray used his exquisite offensive 5-row and Texas-style pull shot to put together a career record that places him among the best to ever play the game. Steve won more than twenty major open titles during an illustrious playing career that began in the late 1970s and concluded at the end of the 1996 season. He earned six career world titles, and became the first man to ever triple in Dallas when he claimed the Open Doubles, Singles and Mixed titles at the 1987 event. Murray also won the inaugural Masters Singles championship in 1988 and was voted Tour Player of the Year two different times. Steve is the long-time promoter of the annual Texas State Championships, one of the sport's top regional events.
